Operating out of London, Warm This Winter is a new coalition that brings together leading anti-poverty and environmental organisations across the UK to campaign for practical measures that will help people with fuel costs now and ensure lower energy bills in the future.
The Warm This Winter Campaign focuses on 4 clear demands aimed at the UK government:
1. An ambitious, nation-wide energy efficiency programme.
2. An end to offshore oil and gas expansion.
3. A rollout of onshore wind generation, and
4. Emergency support for vulnerable households.
Warm This Winter is offering grants of up to £10,000 for activities and events that support and highlight the campaign to keep people warm during the winter of 2022/23.
The following funding is available:
1. Large grants from £5,000 to £10,000 (application deadline Friday 28th October 2022).
2. Medium grants from £500 to £5,000 (applications may be made up to Sunday 1st January 2023 and are reviewed on a rolling basis at the end of each month), and
3. Small grants from £200 to £500 (applications may be made up to Sunday 1st January 2023 and are reviewed on a rolling basis at the end of each month).
Activities must meet one or more of the following objectives:
o Led by local groups to create public engagement with the campaign.
o Led by local groups to engage politicians and/or councillors with the campaign, and/or
o Led by or in partnership with groups who have experience of fuel poverty or are especially vulnerable to fuel poverty.
Grants can be used to cover the costs of:
o Equipment.
o One-off events.
o Publicity and promotion.
o Staffing (where staff are supporting a Warm This Winter activity or event).
o Transport, and
o Volunteer expenses.
Although the fund is UK-wide, activities and events taking place in the following areas are likely to be prioritised.

o Bridgend.
o Bury north.
o Dewsbury.
o Harlow.
o Hemel Hempstead.
o Hyndburn.
o Keighley
o Kensington.
o Mansfield.
o Northfield (Birmingham).
o North Thanet.
o North west Durham.
o Norwich north.
o Peterborough.
o Pudsey.
o Rugby.
o South Northamptonshire.
o Stoke-on-Trent north.
o Stoke-on-Trent south.
o West Bromwich west, and
o Wolverhampton south west.

The following deadlines apply:
1. Small Grants – applications may be made at any time up to Sunday 1st January 2023 for consideration at the end of October, November and December 2022..
2. Medium Grants - applications may be made at any time up to Sunday 1st January 2023 for consideration at the end of October, November and December 2022.
3. Large Grants – Friday 28th October 2022, with successful applicants expected to be notified during the week commencing Monday 14th November 2022.
