Manchester-based the Urban Splash Charitable Trust Limited makes one-off grants to various local and national charities, as well as other charitable causes nominated by its members. The objectives of the Trust are:

1. To relieve poverty, to advance education and training, and to promote other charitable purposes beneficial to the community in any part of the world, and
2. To advance the education of the public in the arts by the provision of art-based facilities for recreation and leisure, and by commissioning and facilitating the production of new artwork for public exhibition.

This Trust comes with something of a health warning. As its annual accounts for the year ended 30 June 2021 have been “red-flagged” by the Charity Commission for being more than 60 days overdue.

Moreover, the Trust’s accounts for the previous year (30 June 2020) indicate that, while grants awarded totalled £28,000, its governance cost was £55,600.  Although there may be a valid explanation for this, it is unusual.

The Trust does not have a website, nor does it provide any information about grant recipients in its annual accounts. It may, nevertheless be worth considering as a grant prospect for registered charities that meet its objectives. Given the limited funding allocated in grants, any awards are likely to be modest.
