o Application deadline: N/A – contact the Trust for details of its application process. This is likely to be a letter of applications as the Trust does not have a website.

o Funder: The Orkney Cherry Charitable Trust (the Trust was registered with the Charity Commission in October 2020. Charity number: 1191802. Newly registered charities do not have to provide information until 10 months after their first financial period).

Bristol-based the Orkney Cherry Charitable Trust is a recently formed family grant-making charity, with just two trustees, June Miller and Alexander Miller.

The Trust is registered with the Charity Commission with its principal aim of awarding  grants to charitable organisations. Its governing objectives are: “to apply the income….for such charities or such exclusively charitable purposes….in any part of the world as the trustees….think fit”.

As a new grant-making Trust with no annual accounts or record of how and what level it awards grants, this is perhaps a Trust to bear in mind for the future as it develops its portfolio.

The Trust does not have a website. Further information can be found on the Charity Commission website.

Enquiries about grants may be made at any time in writing. The Trust’s address, as detailed in its Charity Commission entry, is:
