The Fieldrose Charitable Trust's main objective is to apply its income to make grants or donations to charities or for charitable purposes, whose fields of operation were of particular interest to the settlor Edward Scott or the support of which will be a fitting way of perpetuating the memory of Edward Scott and of celebrating his achievements. The main areas of interest of the Trust appear to be:
o Children and young people
o Environment
o Health and wellbeing, including hospices and hospitals.
o Medical research, and
o Religion
During the year ended 5 April 2022, the Trust awarded 23 grants totalling £236,000 (2021: 22 grants totalling £212,000).
Awards, which mostly consisted of many repeat awards, ranged from £1,000 to £20,000.
