The De Brye Charitable Trust (formerly known as the Stanley Smith Charitable Trust until 2012) was established to make grants for charitable purposes in or outside of the UK at the trustees’ discretion. The vast majority of grants are awarded for projects and activities in the UK.
Although it has wide-ranging charitable objectives, the Trust paces a particular focus on:
o The care and housing of the aged, orphans and neglected children.
o Providing aid to physically disabled children and to the blind, and
o Charitable causes relating to woodlands, forests and the supporting of wildlife.
Grants are generally for between £500 and £5,000, with the occasional higher award. There is no specific requirement for matched funding.
Please note that the Trust does not maintain a website. Further information is, however, available on the Charity Commission website.
