Arnold Clark’s 2022 Community Grants programme aims to help UK charities and community organisations that have been impacted by COVID-19. Small grants of £1,000 are available to help eligible charitable organisations continue work which may have been placed at risk during COVID.
Previously, Arnold Clark focused its grant-making on from UK organisations that deal with or address the following:
o Food banks.
o Housing and accommodation.
o Poverty relief, and
o Toy banks.
However, the current round does not specifically mention these areas, so – although all of the above are eligible and may be prioritised for grant support – a wider range of charitable causes are likely to be considered.
Grants of £1,000 are available with no matched funding requirement. Applicants should check the eligibility criteria available on the company’s website prior to applying (eligible applicants must be one of the organisations listed in the “Who can apply” section above, be incorporated in the UK and have people and communities in the UK as their primary focus of benefit).
Funding is not available for:
o Individuals, any individual applying on behalf of an organisation or projects that benefit an individual rather than the wider community.
o Loan repayments.
o Organisations operating outside the UK.
o Organisations requesting funding for private gain.
o Organisations which generate profits for private distribution.
o Political activities.
o Religious activity (unless this immediately impacts the wider community).
o Schools, nurseries, colleges (unless this immediately impacts the wider community), or
o Sole traders.
Further information and details about how to apply is available on the Arnold Clark Community Fund webpages.
The deadline for applications is 23:59 on Thursday 30 June 2022.
