Alma Economics has been commissioned by the Welsh Government to undertake research into the childcare and playwork workforce in Wales with the aim of providing an accurate picture of its size and characteristics. The research also seeks to improve our understanding of recruitment, retention, qualifications and pay within the sector as well as any issues faced. This will inform policy with a view to supporting and developing the childcare and play workforce now and over the next five years.
