The Sport Powys officers work with numerous National Governing Bodies and other organisations to provide progression in development and talent identification. Sport Powys provide schools with the opportunity to engage with and implement well-established programmes such as the Young Ambassadors and Active Young Leaders Schemes. Many of the opportunities available are focussed on health and wellbeing i.e., social, mental, physical, and emotional and go hand in hand with the new curriculum; developing leadership, are person centred and provides a pupil voice. Sport Powys are able to offer advice and support for community groups and organisations looking for grant funding for projects or club development ideas through the Be Active Wales Fund, where groups can apply for up to £50,000 for their chosen project if the criteria is met.
