This unique partnership will implement a new and exciting project that aims to enhance the provision of domestic abuse services in Powys. To achieve this, the partnership will be trained in delivering a new approach to tackling domestic abuse by utilising a 24/7 digital Computerised Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CCBT) based intervention, namely the Domestic Abuse Hub.  The Intervention Hub   ( For details of practitioners meeting scroll down)

The partnership, led by the Regional Board, have been successful in its application to the Welsh Government to deliver a 3-month pilot programme.

The Domestic Abuse Hub is hosted on the RSG Intervention Hub.  It is an interactive digital tool based on CCBT will be used as the core platform to deliver interventions.

The aim of this pilot is to improve attitudes and behaviours of Service Users within Powys who perpetrate domestic abuse.

The pilot will commence on 1st Julyst 2020 and end 3 months later where a full evaluation will take place regarding its effectiveness.

The director of RSG has stated:

‘We’re very grateful for the trust and confidence this group of organisations have demonstrated in RSG’s and the Intervention Hub’s ability to make a meaningful impact in tackling domestic abuse.  We will go above and beyond to make sure our service becomes an important part of a broader solution to tackling domestic violence’

And the Mid and West Wales Regional Adviser has commented:

As a region we are determined to provide and improve access to holistic and preventative interventions, in order to achieve our aim to eradicate VAWDASV across Mid and West Wales.  This includes ensuring that all communities and individuals have access to support that enables them to challenge and change harmful attitudes and behaviours. This is a key priority under our regional strategy, and we are very keen to see the potential impact this intervention will have.
