Information from Elizabeth Bacon, Postgraduate Student Researcher KESS 2 Studentship – ‘Mapping and Evaluating the Voluntary Youth Work Sector for Wales’

Efallai eich bod yn ymwybodol bod CWVYS a Phrifysgol De Cymru wedi cael cyllid KESS i fapio a gwerthuso’r sector gwaith ieuenctid gwirfoddol yng Nghymru. Er mwyn gwneud hynny, nod yr astudiaeth yw nodi ac arolygu gwasanaethau presennol trwy arolwg ar-lein.
Byddem yn gwerthfawrogi eich cymorth i hyrwyddo ein harolwg byr ar draws eich rhwydweithiau – yn bwysig iawn, po fwyaf o ymatebion a gawn, y gorau y gallwn gynrychioli profiadau’r sector cyfan a’r bobl ifanc y maent yn eu cefnogi. I rannu’r arolwg hwn, anfonwch yr e-bost hwn ymlaen a/neu defnyddiwch y wybodaeth isod yn eich cyfathrebiadau cyfryngau cymdeithasol/gwefan. Prosiect KESS - Mae Mapio a Gwerthuso Sector Gwaith Ieuenctid Gwirfoddol Cymru yn brosiect Meistr yn ôl Ymchwil a gynhelir gan Brifysgol De Cymru ac a ariannir gan Gronfa Gymdeithasol Ewrop mewn partneriaeth â CWVYS. Nod yr ymchwil yw gwneud y sector gwaith ieuenctid gwirfoddol yn fwy gweladwy a sicrhau bod pob budd-ddeiliad yn gwerthfawrogi eu cyfraniadau. Efallai eich bod yn ymwybodol nad oes digon o ymchwil a gwerth i’r sector gwirfoddol o’i gymharu â gwasanaethau statudol, sy’n cynnal archwiliad bob blwyddyn. Gobeithiwn y gall ein hymchwil newid hyn.

You may be aware that CWVYS and the University of South Wales have received KESS funding to map and evaluate the voluntary youth work sector in Wales. To do so, the study aims to identify and survey existing services through an online survey.
We would appreciate your help in promoting our short survey across your networks – importantly, the more responses we receive the better we can represent the experiences of the sector as a whole and the young people they support. To share this survey, please simply forward this email and/or use the information below in your social media/website communications. I will also attach more detailed information that can be used to promote the survey via your channels.
The KESS project - Mapping and Evaluating the Voluntary Youth Work Sector for Wales is a Masters by Research project conducted by the University of South Wales and funded by the European Social Fund in partnership with CWVYS. The research aims to make the voluntary youth work sector more visible and ensure their contributions are valued by all stakeholders. You may be aware that the voluntary sector is under-researched and valued in comparison to statutory services, who have an audit each year. We hope our research can change this.
