At the last meeting of the CoP it was agreed that colleagues in the CoP would send in their ideas and suggestions about the future model and IPC would pull these together into a document for the Welsh Government to consider.

National Model of Integrated Care 

You will be aware that the Welsh Government is committed to producing 6 national models of integrated care for Wales through the Regional Integration Fund between now and 2027, and that it is now working on the initial design of these models of care. We are keen to get the input from the Communities of Practice at this point to inform those designs. 

At our meeting last week we agreed that colleagues in the CoP would send in their ideas and suggestions about the future model and IPC would pull these together into a document for the Welsh Government to consider. We will also share this at our next ‘summit’ meeting for all the CoPs on 16 May. To make this task straightforward we are asking you to simply send an email to gdavidson(at)brookes.ac.uk with your comments and suggestions in response to the following questions:

• What do you think a good national integrated model of care for emotional and mental health services should help achieve?
• What elements should a national integrated model of care for emotional and mental health services include and how detailed should it be?
• What key services, systems, practices and resources need to be emphasised in an effective national integrated model of care for emotional and mental health services?

We would be very grateful if you could send your comments in an email by Friday 7 April.
