Children in Wales are delighted to have been awarded funding by Wales Council for Voluntary Action (WCVA) to develop a Young Volunteer Scheme that will create volunteering opportunities for young people aged 11-25 years across Wales. The grant funding will enable us to recruit an experienced volunteer coordinator who will work with young people to shape the scheme, helping young volunteers gain essential experience and skills to help them find future employment. Owen Evans, Chief Executive of Children in Wales said, “We are delighted to have been awarded this funding from WCVA in order to advance our volunteering work with young people.
