The Childcare Sufficiency Assessment was based on primary research conducted through numerous forms of consultation, including the Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) Self-Assessment of Service Statement (SASS) data completed by childcare providers, a Welsh Government parent survey, parent focus groups and online surveys with employers, stakeholders and schools, including pupils and headteachers.

The document sets out to reflect the context for childcare provision across Powys.
