All Wales Play Opportunity Grant

This is a Capital Grant - Deadline 8th December

The aim of the Play works Funding is to provide better play opportunities for children and communities and to realise the benefits this brings in terms of child development and activity levels. Applications accepted for up to a maximum of £15,000.

  • Repairs or replenishment of equipment in play areas – this doesn’t necessarily have to be fixed play equipment, it can be new accessible benches, etc;
  • Lighting at play spaces eg: skateparks;
  • The purchase of security equipment;
  • The purchase of equipment, such as gazebos or roofed structures, which will enable open access play work to continue in bad weather;
  • portable equipment to enable peripatetic play;
  • The purchase of equipment to facilitate street play;
  • The bulk purchase of uniforms for play staff - the demand for changeable uniforms has increased as a result of the coronavirus prevention measures;
  • The purchase of equipment to create natural looking footpaths and nature trails which incorporate children’s play;
  • Play pods for schools to encourage community based play and enhance breaktime play.

The funding available is for Capital items/resources/equipment that will benefit and positively impact children, young people, families, and communities in Powys.
