Children and Young People Adverse Childhood Experiences Recovery Toolkit:
The Children and Young People Adverse Childhood Experiences Recovery Toolkit is an 8-week programme that uses a combination of creative activities and group working to develop children and young people's resilience and give them opportunity to experience the healing of relational support. It provides information and education that enables children and young people to cope with the adversity they have experiences (and may do in the future). The programme is provided free of charge and is delivered in person. The ACEs programme is not just for Children and Young People who have experienced Domestic Abuse it is available to any child or young person who has or may experience adversity.
Adults Adverse Childhood Experiences Recovery Toolkit:
The Adults Adverse Childhood Experiences Recovery Toolkit is a 10 - week programme aimed at helping adults develop positive coping strategies. The programme offers guidance on protective factors that can help reduce the impact of adverse childhood experiences and provides practical methods for adults and parents to develop resilience within themselves and their children. The programme covers understanding living with ACEs, understanding toxic stress and the strategies to manage, developing parental resilience, understanding attachment, nurturing parenting styles, managing emotions and developing strategies to reduce the potential impact of ACEs on children. The course is for anyone who has experienced domestic abuse and childhood trauma.
