Focus Groups
The committee are also hoping to run a series of focus groups throughout Wales and are looking for groups willing to participate in the discussions.
The committee can be flexible with days and times of the dicsusions to suit participants and would be represented by a maximum of two members of the Health & Social Care Committee.
Groups are planned to be online initially on Teams or Zoom depending on preference.
Questions that the focus group would be discussing are listed below.
- What factors contribute to worse mental health within these groups?
- For the groups identified, what are the barriers to accessing mental health services? How effectively can existing services meet their needs, and how could their experience of using mental health services be improved?
- What further action is needed, by whom/where, to improve mental health and outcomes for the groups of people identified and reduce mental health inequalities in Wales?
