Community of Practice: Accommodation-Based Care Solutions.

An invitation to join a national Community of Practice relating to Accommodation-Based Care and Support.

Please see information from Welsh Government below.

I'm writing to you with an invitation to join a national Community of Practice relating to Accommodation-Based Care and Support.  The first online meeting of this wide ranging stakeholder forum will be at 2pm on Wednesday, 26th April.

This new Community of Practice (CoP) is one of six that have been established by Welsh Government (with support from us at the Institute of Public Care) as part of the Regional Integration Fund under the "A Healthier Wales" strategy.  They seek to bring together groups of practitioners, promote productive discussion and encourage collaborative solutions to overcome common challenges.  They also seek to contribute to the development of national models of integrated care.

CoPs are an open forum for anyone with a stake or interest in Accommodation Based Care and Support including service users, carers, practitioners, professionals and leaders from all parts of the health, wellbeing and care sectors in Wales.  Meetings last for 2.5 hours and are held online every other month.  They are facilitated by the Institute of Public Care and are informal and collaborative in style.

I've attached our most recent newsletter which gives more detailed background to all Communities of Practice together with a briefing document which provides more specific background to our first meeting in April.

You have received this initial email because you are already on our circulation list.  The CoP seeks to attract a wide range of stakeholders so please forward this to any colleagues who you think might be interested.  If you are part of any networks, again, please do forward this email as widely as you can.

If you receive this email after it has been forwarded to you and you'd like to join the CoP, please do contact me and I'll add your details to the circulation list -gdavidson(at)brookes.ac.uk .
