The role would suit someone with an interest in traditional crafts, or simply looking to gain experience of working in the outdoors and with community groups. Due to the nature of the role, a reasonable level of physical fitness is required.
The main responsibilities will include (with full training given):
- Helping to set up and pack down - carrying equipment, hanging tarps etc
- Campcraft- chopping wood, firelighting, boiling water for teas and coffees
- Making participants feel welcome
- Helping to foster an inclusive learning environment
There will be the opportunity to take part in all activities, which will focus on basketry using wild materials.
Dates- 20th, 27th July and the 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th August
Timings- sessions will run 1-3pm, with 1 hour set up and pack down either side, so you will be needed 12pm-4pm
