Free information session on Tuesday 7th May at the Ukraine Hub, Capital Centre, Cardiff, CF10 2HQ at 18.00.
The session is designed for members of the Ukrainian community in Wales, their families and sponsors. The session will cover immigration law only- this means the law related to your right to enter and/or remain in the UK, including:
- A brief history of the Ukraine immigration Schemes
- Issues with the schemes
- The government's February 2024 announcements and what these mean
- The closure of the Family Scheme in February 2024
- The Ukraine Schemes vs Claiming Asylum
The session will not cover issues such as: problems with hosts; private renting issues; finding work; problems with welfare benefits.
The sessions will take place in English, but there will be interpreters on hand to help as well.
