Jamie Burt

Jamie Burt served as the Chair of PAVO from 2020 to 2025 and first joined the board in 2018.

Originally from Montgomeryshire, Jamie studied Politics and International Relations at Keele University. After graduating, he ran his own hospitality business before moving to Abu Dhabi to work in finance.

Since returning to Wales, Jamie has dedicated his career to the Third Sector. He is currently the Director at Ponthafren, where he leads the organisation’s strategic growth, governance, and partnership development. Prior to this role, he was the Director of Siawns Teg, and he has also served as the employment representative on the Third Sector Partnership Council for Wales.

In addition to these responsibilities, Jamie is the Chair of the Andrew Logan Museum of Sculpture, a Board Member of the Montgomery Civic Society, and a Trustee of both the Cwm Weeg Garden Trust and Oriel Davies. He is deeply committed to strengthening communities, promoting wellbeing, and supporting the growth of the voluntary sector across Powys.

In his spare time, Jamie enjoys walking and is currently renovating a house in Montgomery.
