1st Clive’s Own Welshpool Scout Group (COWSHACC) – Cleaner / Closer

Part-Time | Minimum 5 Hours Per Week

20 Days Annual Leave (Pro Rata) + Bank Holidays

We are seeking a reliable and trustworthy Cleaner / Closer to join our team at 1st Clive’s Own Welshpool Scout Group (COWSHACC). This is a key role responsible for ensuring our community building remains clean, safe, and secure for all users.

This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards, can work independently, and is flexible with evening working hours.

About the Role

You will be responsible for:

• Cleaning all areas of the centre including halls, meeting rooms, toilets, kitchen facilities, and communal spaces

• Ensuring hired rooms are left clean and tidy

• Emptying bins and replenishing supplies

• Safely closing and securing the building (locking doors and windows, switching off lights, setting alarms)

• Following Health & Safety and COSHH regulations

• Reporting maintenance issues, damage, or concerns

• Responding appropriately to minor emergencies if they arise

What We’re Looking For

• A dependable and punctual individual

• Ability to work independently and use initiative

• Good understanding of cleaning and hygiene standards

• Responsible and trustworthy, particularly with building security

• Flexible approach to evening and occasional weekend working
