‘Because We Weren’t There…’ shines a light on the incredible contribution of voluntary organisations across Merthyr Tydfil.

Featuring the voices of service users, volunteers and people working across the sector, the film explores the vital role voluntary organisations play in our communities – from tackling loneliness and isolation to supporting some of the most vulnerable people in society.

Volunteers and the organisations they support make a real difference every day. But what would happen if they weren’t there?

The film was developed with Merthyr Tydfil’s Third Sector Leaders Forum, a group facilitated by Voluntary Action Merthyr Tydfil (VAMT), to highlight the essential contribution of the third sector and the difference it makes to people’s lives across the county borough.
