The current funding round opened to applications on Thursday 8th May with a deadline of Monday 4th August 2025. Decisions are expected to be announced by Friday 12th September 2025. FRIDAY’S LOCAL GRANT SCHEME – SOUTHERN ENGLAND o THE HALL AND WOODHOUSE 2025 COMMUNITY CHEST – applications are invited from any voluntary or community organisation that is based, or works in, the Hall and Woodhouse Brewery trading area across the south of England, from Devon to Sussex and in the north from Bristol to Twickenham. A total grant pot of £60,000 is available during 2025. Groups with an annual income of under £200,000 can apply for a grant of between £300 and £3,000 for projects and activities that improve their local area such as youth work, health and social care, arts and culture, conservation and the environment. Grants can be used towards things such as equipment and furniture, training, transport, professional assistance, specific project resources and/or operational costs. The 2025 Community Chest application process will open on Tuesday 13th May and close on Sunday 13th July. Applications will be considered by the judging panel in the autumn 2025, with funding to be issued at an awards evening in January 2026. The Warburtons Family Matters Community Grants programme provides small grants up to £400 (with no matched funding requirement) to not-for-profit organisations across Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales, but not Northern Ireland) for projects that benefit families and meet one or more of the following themes. 1. Health – supporting families to care for each other and lead healthier lives: 2. Place – supporting families to flourish in communities that are safer, greener and more inclusive: 3. Skills – supporting families to gain useful skills for life and work: Grants of up to £400 can be used to support projects and activities and organisations that will directly benefit families and have a noticeable social impact on people’s lives. Funding is not available for: o Activities that are for sponsorship, advertising and promotion alone, which primarily generate commercial returns.
