Wales Human Rights Congress
The Congress will bring together individuals with an interest in human rights, voluntary sector organisations, academics, and civil society organisations in Wales.
Join us to:
- Cocreate a draft Wales Human Rights Bill – what do voluntary sector organisations, academics, and civil society want it to look like and cover
- Discuss and learn how to put human rights into practice – making rights a reality for everyone in Wales.
Participants will:
- Hear from Wales and UK experts on a range of Human Rights themes.
- Discuss progress to realise the human rights guaranteed to everyone in Wales as set out in international human rights treaties.
- Discuss what should be in devolved legislation to incorporate international human rights into Welsh law in relation to different treaties and areas of rights.
- Understand a range of different tools and methods to put human rights law into practice and make rights a reality for everyone in Wales.
- Discuss what is needed to move from legislation to human rights approaches.
- Discuss how to put human rights into practice every day, everywhere in Wales.
