Now in its 65th year as a grant-making charity, the Langdale Trust is an established grant-provider with its principal office in Bristol.

The Trustees makes grants to a wide range of UK registered charities, preferably for capital rather than revenue projects . In recent years this has included:

o Air Ambulance services.
o Arts organisations.
o Environmental causes.
o Health.
o Home-Starts.
o Hospices, 
and
o Wildlife Trusts.

During the year ended 30th November 2023, the Trust awarded 34 grants totalling £135,000 (2022: 25 grants totalling £150,000). Grants were a mixture of repeat and new awards, mostly for £5,000 or less, with the occasional higher award.

The Trustees meet annually to consider applications in or around June each year with successful applicants being notified in November of the same year.
