Also known as the Joseph Strong Frazer Trust, Newcastle-upon-Tyne based the Frazer Trust provides small grants to a wide range of charitable causes in England and Wales. The stated aim of the Trust is to “support a very wide number of good causes and charitable objects”.

The Trust regularly awards grants totalling over £500,000 each year. During the year ended 30th September 2024, the Trust awarded 296 grants totalling £502,850 (2023: £518,850). All grants made were for either £2,000 or £2,500, categorised as follows:

o Children: 26 grants totalling £42,000 (2023: £47,000).
o Youth: 
26 grants totalling £37,600 (2023: £38,000).
o Old and infirm: 
1 grant totalling £2,000 (2023: £6,000).
o Hospitals and home (and connected activities): 
23 grants totalling £40,750 (2023: £39,250).
o Deaf and blind: 
15 grants totalling £31,500 (2023: £34,500).
o Disabled: 
11 grants totalling £18,000 (2023: £20,000).
o Mentally handicapped: 
4 grants totalling £7,000 (2023: £8,500).
o Medical and other research: 
62 grants totalling £118,500 (2023: £113,000).
o Maritime: 
12 grants totalling £16,500 (2023: £18,000).
o Armed Forces: 
9 grants totalling £16,000 (2023: £15,500).
o Caring organisations: 
45 grants totalling £69,500 (2023: £75,500).
o Other trusts, funds and voluntary organisations: 
28 grants totalling £45,500 (2023: £47,500).
o Schools and colleges: 
3 grants totalling £3,500 (2023: £4,000).
o Leisure activities, animals and wildlife: 
20 grants totalling £39,000 (2023: £42,000), and
o Religious bodies: 9 grants totalling £15,000 (2023: £12,500).

The Trust has a reasonable expectation that the charity has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future.
