A limited number of small grants, usually for £2,000 or less, are available to UK registered medical and welfare charities in the UK. The Trust also makes grants to charities working to relieve poverty, as well as arts and community charities.

The E M MacAndrew Trust is a family-based grant-making charity with its principal office in Buckinghamshire.
The Trust generally awards a limited number of small grants for £2,000 or less to UK registered charities working in the UK and/or overseas. Grants awarded suggest some preference for charities serving the Buckinghamshire area.
During the year ended 5th April 2024, the Trust awarded 22 grants totalling £39,500 (2023: £56,500).
Grants made, which are listed on page 2 of the Trust’s annual accounts, were categorised as:
o Medical and the relief of poverty: £17,500 (2023: £28,000).
o Educational charities: £4,000 (2023: £2,000), and
o Arts and community charities: £18,000 (2023: £26,500).
Grants made during the year included:
o Action 4 Youth: £2,000.
o Farm Africa: £1,000.
o Teenage Cancer Trust: £1,000, and
o Thames Valley Air Ambulance: £1,000.
