Small grants, generally for £5,000 or less, are available to UK registered charities supporting the performing arts (particularly ballet, opera and music), cultural heritage and the advancement of health.

The Anthony and Elizabeth Mellows Charitable Settlement is a London-based grant-making charity that generally awards small grants to UK registered charities operating in the following fields:
o The performing arts, particularly ballet, opera and music.
o Cultural heritage, and
o The advancement of health and the saving of lives.
During the year ended 31st March 2024, the Charity awarded 44 grants totalling £415,272 (2023: 27 grants totalling £161,272). This was significantly higher than previous years as it included a donation of £250,000 to the Royal Opera House Foundation.
Most grants were for £5,000 or less, with the occasional higher award. All grant recipients are listed on pages 14 and 15 of the Charity’s annual accounts.
Grants made during the year were categorised as follows:
o Performing arts: £261,000 (2023: 17,500).
o Cultural heritage: £78,272 (2023: £28,272), and
o The advancement of health and the saving of lives: £76,000 (2023: £115,500).
