Social prescribing service extended following successful pilot

Our social prescribing service, which launched as a pilot last year, is now available to people aged 18–75 living in Powys. This expansion means that even more people can access personalised support to improve their health, wellbeing and quality of life.

Our social prescribing connects people with a health condition affect muscles or joints, heart or circulation, breathing, hormones or metabolism, or mental health with local activities, groups and services that can support their wellbeing, Rather than focusing solely on medical needs, the service takes a holistic approach, helping people find practical and community-based support that matters to them.

Following the success of the pilot, we are delighted to be able to extend the service to a wider age range, ensuring that more people across Powys can benefit from the opportunities, connections and support available within their local communities.
