New Meeting details of Powys Local Action Group for the Visually Impaired

If you are vision impaired and live in Powys we want to hear from you.
A Local Action Group meets on a quarterly basis. It is a space for people with lived experience to share views and help to shape local services.
No experience is required just a passion to make positive change.
There is no obligation to attend every meeting. Each session focuses on a different theme. At the first meeting the key themes locally important will be identified, these can be anything that affects the life of someone with sight loss and may include:
- Transport – accessing public transport
- Patient experience – accessing NHS services and experience of accessing eyecare services such as Optometry, Ophthalmology
- Sports and leisure – discussing the inclusivity and barriers of accessing sports and leisure services
- Built Environment – how street clutter, A frames, refuse bins, pavement parking, street design, over hanging foliage and more may affect daily lives.
The venue is a short walk from the railway and bus station and a large car park behind the hotel is available, please arrive 15 minutes before the start time.
A light lunch and refreshments will be provided. Please make aware of any dietary requirements.
Carers are welcome, limited to one per person.
