New Community Food Garden Project to Transform Outdoor Space at Ystradgynlais Hospital

A new community food garden is set to be developed at Ystradgynlais Hospital, bringing people together to grow fresh produce, support wellbeing, and create a nature-rich outdoor space.

The project is being delivered in partnership with Keep Wales Tidy and Social Farms & Gardens, providing a fully equipped “Food Garden Package” designed to help organisations establish thriving community growing areas.

The package includes everything needed to get started, from raised beds, tools and a polytunnel to fruit trees, vegetable seeds and wildlife habitats, helping to create an accessible space for growing food while encouraging biodiversity.

Get Involved

Local people, staff and community groups are encouraged to get involved in volunteering opportunities to help build and maintain the garden.

Anyone interested in supporting the project or finding out more can contact:
