Launch of Powys ProtectNet – Health Protection Resource for Your Teams and Clients
Powys ProtectNet, is a new online health protection resource developed in partnership by the Powys Teaching Health Board (PTHB) and Powys County Council (PCC) Health Protection Team to support health and social care staff, partner organisations unpaid carers, and the social care sector across Powys.
ProtectNet has been created as a centralised hub for reliable, practical health protection information. It brings together trusted national guidance alongside local resources, tools and training opportunities in one accessible place.
The resource includes:
- Health Protection Guidance – curated guidance from trusted organisations including Welsh Government, UKHSA, Public Health Wales and the NHS.
- Health Protection Resource Folder – 18 infection prevention and control topics with practical tools, templates and downloadable materials.
- Health Protection Training – free e-learning and training opportunities to strengthen knowledge and confidence in practice.
- Health Protection Bulletins – seasonal updates and key reminders for providers.
- Health Protection Contacts and Support – key local contacts for advice and outbreak support.
You can access Powys ProtectNet at: https://en.powys.gov.uk/article/20226/Powys-ProtectNet
The aim is to widen access to clear and consistent health protection information across Powys. By sharing through your networks, this can help ensure more individuals and organisations are supported with the right information at the right time.
If you would like any suggested wording for newsletters or social media, please let the team know and they would be happy to provide this. They would also be happy to attend any team meetings to introduce and/or discuss the resource.
