Help shape the future of archaeology and heritage volunteering in Wales
This questionnaire is being shared with County Voluntary Councils as part of People Powered Archaeology, a Wales-wide project led by Heneb and supported through the Volunteering Wales Strategic Grant from WCVA.
The project is exploring how archaeology and heritage volunteering currently works across Wales. The aim is to strengthen collaboration, improve access and ensure existing systems are better used rather than duplicated.
We are keen to draw on your local knowledge and experience to understand:
• How visible archaeology and heritage volunteering is in your area
• How accessible those opportunities are in practice
• What support, networks or forums currently exist
• How archaeology and heritage groups engage with local volunteering infrastructure
Your responses will support learning and planning. This is not an assessment of individual organisations and there are no right or wrong answers.
We appreciate that summer is a very busy time, so we have decided to extend the deadline for this survey until the 21st of September as we’re keen to gather as much local knowledge as possible.
The survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete. Your input will provide valuable insight that will help strengthen support for groups and volunteers across Wales.
