FULLY FUNDED 8-week creative mindful photography course and exhibition for young people aged 16–25
Look Again: See Differently. Connect, Create.
This is a FULLY FUNDED 8-week creative mindful photography course and exhibition for young people aged 16–25 in Newtown and surrounding areas.
The course will be based at the Oriel Davies Gallery with guided photography walks around Dolerw Park, the river and the town. There will be an exhibition of participants work at the gallery in February and March, giving participants the opportunity to share their creativity and perspective with family, friends and the wider community.
No photography experience is needed. Participants can use a smartphone or a camera.
The course will run for 8 sessions from 1:00pm to 3:00pm on:
- Tuesdays 3, 10 and 24 November
- Tuesdays 1 and 8 December
- Tuesdays 12, 19 and 26 January
The project offers an opportunity for young people to:
- Try photography in a way that boosts wellbeing, confidence, resilience and hope
- Spend time outdoors and connect with nature
- See your everyday world differently
- Meet and create alongside other young people
- Explore ideas about yourself, your community and your future
