Community Partnership Opportunity – Christmas Together 2025 (Newtown AFC)

A community initiative is running throughout December that connects local schools, care homes, and community partners through football and creativity.

 Included in the programme is,

– Free school sessions in schools led by Newtown AFC coaches in December

– Creative exchanges between schools/pupils who are participating and care home residents (cards, messages, and artwork) – Facilitated through Newtown AFC

– Spotlighting local heroes – who play a pivotal role in our community and often are unnoticed.

– Media and community coverage through County Times and local partners

– A final community evening at Latham Park on Friday, 20th December, free football sessions for 5-13 children in Mid Wales led by Academy U15 and U16 players – aiming to foster leadership and service and demonstrating the Newtown AFC Academy giving back.

– Free Soccer Camp Day, 22nd December – aiming to increase access for children from lower socio-economic backgrounds.
