Christmas Hamper / Santa Appeal for Care Leavers in Powys

Christmas Hamper appeal

Join in again this year to send a Christmas gift to our young care leavers in need across Powys.

Care leavers are young people aged 18 to 25 years old who have previously been in care.

We know that times are difficult for everyone right now, but if you are willing to donate a gift here’s a few ideas:

• Fun socks
• Hot chocolate
• Marshmallows
• Selection boxes
• Toiletries – deodorant, shower gels, gift packs etc
• Tasty treats eg pringles, biscuits, crisps etc

Or you can send money via a Tesco e-gift and we can shop for you. Purchase the e-gift online, send to the team at supported.lodgings@powys.gov.uk and they will purchase food, gifts and toiletries to add to the hampers for you.

The Santa Appeal

Any toy, gift or grocery item for a child of any age.

Drop off points

You can leave your donated items in the large Christmas boxes in the reception areas at:

• County Hall, Llandrindod Wells
• Ladywell House, Newtown
• Tŷ Maldwyn, Welshpool
• Neuadd Brycheiniog, Brecon
• Hendreladus, Ystradgynlais

The boxes will be available until the end of November/ Early December.
