Arthritis UK Cymru Online Information Sessions: 10th Sept and 15th Oct – Fibromyalgia

Session 1:  10th September 2026 (12pm -1pm)

What is fibromyalgia:
How does the pain system work and how does fibromyalgia change things. What do we think causes it? How is it diagnosed? What should you expect from an assessment? What tests should be done to check for other conditions.

Session 2:  15th October 2026 (12pm -1pm)

Living with fibromyalgia:
What are the recommended management strategies and what are their benefits/risks/limitations. This would include physical activity, medication, psychological therapies and lifestyle change.

Room opens at 11.50am presentation starts at 12pm. 

 

The online information sessions are for adults with arthritis, MSK or related conditions e.g. fibromyalgia, lupus, gout. Also, for health care professionals and carers supporting people living with arthritis. They offer a chance to learn about managing arthritis and related conditions, hear from guest speakers and find out more about the support provided by Arthritis UK in local areas.
