An introduction from Tammy Foley – Hate Crime Training & Engagement Officer

Tammy Foley is the Training and Engagement Officer with the Wales Hate Support Centre, working closely with organisations and community groups across Powys.

Her role is to support third sector and grassroots organisations to better understand hate
crime and how these experiences can impact people’s wellbeing. She can offer practical, free
accessible training to help groups recognise hate crime, respond safely and
compassionately, and know how and when to refer people into specialist support.

Tammy is particularly keen to work alongside community led groups in Powys, recognising the
unique challenges of rural and dispersed communities.

If your organisation wants to join a growing network of partners standing against hate, you can sign the Hate Crime Charter
and Trustmark. As part of this, your organisation can access free Hate Crime Champion Programme, empowering staff and volunteers to become informed, confident points of contact for hate crime awareness, reporting and support.

They have many All Wales FREE open sessions on our Eventbrite page, so please see the QR link below.

They are always happy to have conversations about training, partnership working, or ways that can
support your organisation and the people you work with.
