Dementia Strategy for Wales 2026-2036 Engagement Pack for Stakeholders

The Draft dementia strategy for Wales 2026 to 2036 opened for consultation in
December 2025.

Welsh Government have committed to co-producing a new plan, and to take the
time necessary to meaningfully engage partners and people with lived
experience throughout.

This document is intended to provide the opportunity for
people to have early engagement in the content of the document. The findings
from which will inform the final strategy in 2026
The consultation runs until 3 April 2026.

If you lead a group or are part of a relevant network, you can help shape the new
dementia strategy for Wales.
Please share the consultation materials with your colleagues, group members
and stakeholders and encourage them to respond individually or as a group.
Anyone can hold engagement activities or use pre-existing meetings to raise
awareness and discuss the new dementia strategy. Accessible formats are
available on the consultation website, such as easy-read and BSL versions.
A stakeholder engagement presentation is available to help guide engagement
sessions and provides further context of the Dementia Action Plan 2018-2022,
the evaluation of the plan and the development of the draft successor strategy.
If you are running a session and collecting feedback on behalf of a group, you
