Grants, generally for between £2,000 and £5,000, are available to UK registered charities providing medical, social welfare or general welfare activities, particularly in the areas of support for the elderly, people with disabilities, medical research, hospices and the Armed Forces.

Application deadlineSATURDAY 28th FEBRUARY 2026 for the Charity’s Spring 2026 funding round. One further application deadline in 2026 is provided towards the end of the main text below.

The Inman Charity normally provides small project grants, generally between £2,000 and £5,000, to UK registered charities for a wide range of charitable causes, with a particular interest in supporting projects in the following areas:

o Care of the elderly.
o Care of the physically & mentally disabled.
o General welfare.
o Hospices.
o Medical research.
o The Armed Forces, 
and
o The deaf and blind.

During the year ended 31st December 2024, the Charity awarded 59 grants totalling £244,000 (2023: 68 grants totalling £371,500; 2022: 75 grants totalling £414,000).

Funding is not available for:

o Animal welfare.
o Individuals.
o Maintenance of buildings at a local level (e.g. churches and village halls).
o Religious charities.
o Wildlife and environmental conservation, 
or
o Young children and infants.

Requests for support should be made by letter confirming the applicant’s registered charity number, its aims and objectives, and any other relevant factors.

In order for the appeal to be considered, applicants must also provide a copy of their latest annual report and a set of the most recent audited accounts.

The Charity operates 2 funding rounds each year, on 28th February and 31st August. The next application deadlines are therefore on Saturday 28th February and Monday 31st August 2026.
