Totnes, Devon-based the Naturesave Trust is the charitable arm of Naturesave Insurance, which – among other services – provides insurance for charities and not-for-profit organisations. The Trust, which has recently introduced a new website, was formed to promote and encourage the protection, preservation and improvement of the environment for the benefit of the public, particularly by encouraging the greater adoption of sustainable development through the funding of specific environment and conservation projects.

The Trust normally adopts a different funding theme for each application round. The theme of the current round is “Biodiversity”. The Trust’s website states:

In 2022, the UK committed to protect at least 30% of land and sea for biodiversity by 2030 (30×30). Expanding and improving protected areas helps nature recover and creates healthier places for people—clean air and water, resilient soils, beautiful green spaces, and greater climate resilience.

“Biodiversity underpins the processes that support all life on Earth. Without a wide range of animals, plants and microorganisms, we cannot have the healthy ecosystems we rely on for the air we breathe and the food we eat.

“We’re inviting applications from charities, community groups, and organisations boosting biodiversity via:

🌸 Pollinator plans.
🌱 Habitat restoration.
🌿 Hedgerow management.
🏡 Wildlife gardens.
🚫🧴 Pesticide alternatives.
