The Powys Dementia Network came about as a result of a request from the Powys County Council Dementia Champion (previous Cllr. Dawn Bailey) for PAVO to create a Powys wide network or forum. The network began in 2016.
The purpose of the network is to bring together Dementia Friendly Communities, individuals living with Dementia and those close to them together with Third Sector services and statutory services, to enable the sharing of best practice and crucially, for people in communities to drive both the strategic and operational changes needing to happen to ensure people living with Dementia have what they need to live fulfilled lives in Powys.
