The Radnor Arms Community Benefit Society – Community Engagement and Volunteer Co-ordinator (Part-Time)

5 hours per week | £12.71 per hour | Flexible hours | Home-based

The Radnor Arms Community Benefit Society is looking for an enthusiastic and organised Community Engagement and Volunteer Co-ordinator to help grow volunteering opportunities across the Radnor Valley and Presteigne area.

Working in partnership with PAVO, this new role will support local people to find meaningful volunteering opportunities and help community organisations recruit and retain volunteers. Please note that this role is initially funded for 12 months through funding received from PAVO, however it is our aspiration for it to extend beyond this time.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful Community Benefit Society (CBS) based in New Radnor. The CBS is responsible for running the community-owned pub and enterprise that is “more than a pub.” The Radnor Arms provides a welcoming hub for social, wellbeing, and community activities and the CBS resources will provide a platform for you to promote and develop volunteering.

As Community Engagement and Volunteer Co-ordinator, you will:

● Promote volunteering opportunities across the local area.

● Recruit and support volunteers into suitable roles.

● Build relationships with local communities, groups and organisations.

● Share positive stories and case studies through social media and newsletters.

● Maintain records using the Volunteering Wales platform.

● Attend local networking events and PAVO meetings.

● Ensure reporting and monitoring requirements are completed.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who:

● Is friendly, approachable, and enjoys working with people.

● Has good communication and organisational skills.

● Is confident using email, social media, and online systems.

● Is a self starter and can work independently and manage their own time.

● Is passionate about strengthening communities through volunteering.

Experience in volunteering, community development, or the charity sector would be helpful, but is not essential.

What We Offer

● 5 hours per week with flexible working arrangements.
