Presteigne Festival of Music and the Arts – Vacancy

Presteigne Festival of Music and the Arts Limited is seeking reliable support to assist with staging set-up and breakdown at St Andrew’s Church, Presteigne, for the Festival and for other occasional events throughout the year.

This is paid, casual work, suitable for individuals or organisations with relevant experience.

The person who previously undertook this role will provide a handover and guidance to ensure familiarity with the Festival’s staging set-up and procedures.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manual handling.
  • Setting up and dismantling stage without supervision.
  • Moving staging from storage adjacent to the Church and back.

Availability required:

  • Three days before and a day after the annual Presteigne Festival, which takes place from Thursday to Monday over the August Bank Holiday weekend.
  • Additional availability for other occasional events throughout the year.

Requirements:

  • Practical, hands-on approach.
  • Ability to carry out physical tasks safely.
  • Availability on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Right to work in the UK.

Desirable, but not essential:

  • Appropriate PPE.
  • Appropriate Insurance.
  • Previous experience in events, staging or technical support.

Pay: by mutual agreement

Location: Presteigne

Engagement: Casual / freelance
