Launch of consultation on Draft Disabled People’s Rights plan

We are pleased to let you know that the consultation on our upcoming Draft Disabled People’s Rights plan has been launched.
This plan, based on the work of the Disability Rights Taskforce, sets out our cross-government 10-year ambition and the long-term outcomes we are working towards to ensure disabled people can flourish as equal members of Welsh society, and to challenge discrimination and prejudice.
We want to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all policy colleagues who have contributed to shaping its development so far.
The 12-week consultation welcomes input from individuals, community groups, businesses and organisations, with particular emphasis on hearing directly from disabled people about their priorities.
The consultation is open until 7 August 2025.
Documents are available in British Sign Language, Welsh and English. Additionally, versions are available in audio, braille, easy read, children and youth friendly.
