In governance updates, both Gary Mitchell and Myra Francis were re-elected to the Board of Trustees. The meeting also took time to recognize outgoing trustees Wendy Beaven and Margaret Evitts, with Gary Mitchell expressing sincere gratitude for their dedicated service and contributions to PAVO.
New Initiatives Announced
We unveiled two opportunities to support members and the community and voluntary sector in Powys:
- Voice and Influencing Forum: A brand-new space created for PAVO members to connect, share insights, listen, and influence sector decisions
- Powys Pennies Grassroots Fund: Small project grants of up to £1,000 will be available for local groups starting Monday, 9 November. This scheme is funded through generous contributions from PAVO and Powys County Council employees, alongside other small funding streams.
We extend our warm thanks to everyone who attended and contributed to this year’s AGM.
