Enable Your Team to Make a Real Difference – Free Financial Awareness Training

Do you, your staff, or your volunteers work directly with families, children, young people, older people, or those in need of care? Would you like them to feel more confident in spotting when someone could benefit from extra support – and know just what help is available?

Dangos is here to help.

We’ve launched updated free online courses specially designed for frontline workers across Wales – those who are in daily contact (voluntary or paid) with anyone needing a helping hand. Our flexible sessions make it easy to keep up-to-date and informed, so you can better support the people you work with. Dangos is funded by Welsh Government.

How this helps your work with people:

  • Spot opportunities to help: Even a small boost in awareness means you can connect people to the right help, at the right time.
  • Stay current with what’s available: Our interactive sessions and info packs capture the latest changes and support schemes, so you’re always informed.
  • Respond to different needs: We’re now offering dedicated sessions focusing on:

o    Basic and Intermediate Courses: For anyone new to this, or wanting a refresher on existing knowledge.

o    Children and young people

o    Older people

o    Those in need of care

o    What’s Changed and Changing

  • Build confidence, not overwhelm: We’re not out to turn you into a benefit adviser – just to give you practical info, tips, and extra reassurance so you can signpost with confidence.
  • Flexible learning: Join us via Zoom, Teams or Google Meet, in sessions tailored for general updates or for deeper topics including social care, educational benefits or pensions.
  • Ongoing support: Access daily news, resources, and a supportive community in our online forum.

Who is this for?

  • Anyone who may come across families or individuals who could use a bit more help
  • Anyone with frontline experience wanting to keep their knowledge sharp

How to get involved:

  • Register as an individual for sessions via www.dangos.wales or www.dangos.cymru
  • Book an in-house course for your staff (10–20 participants) and we’ll see if we can customise it for your service. Book in-house sessions through https://bit.ly/Dangos_In-House
  • Download resources, join our forum, and get ongoing updates via our website

These three-hour, highly interactive, and practical sessions are free, delivered in Welsh or English, and come with comprehensive information packs.

Your team could really help to change lives – just by knowing what support is out there and being able to encourage people to access it.

Encourage your staff and volunteers to join this important initiative!
