Breast Screening – What to Expect

A new breast screening video ‘Breast Screening – What to Expect’ is available in Welsh, English and British Sign Language (BSL). The videos have been produced by Breast Test Wales, which is part of Public Health Wales.

These videos help people understand what breast screening is and why it is important.

The videos show:

• the breast screening journey from invitation to results
• how a breast X-ray (mammogram) is taken; and
• what support that is available.

Dean Phillips, Head of Programme, Breast Test Wales, says:

“The videos help to prepare people for breast screening. They are particularly important for people who are invited for the first time, or for those who have not previously taken up their screening offer.”
