Powys Volunteer of the Year Awards

Celebrating outstanding volunteers across Powys and the special difference they have made in people’s lives!  A way of saying thank you and inspiring others to volunteer.

The competition is now open!

So, go ahead and nominate a Powys volunteer that you know has made that special difference.

Do you know someone who gives of their time freely to make others’ lives better?  Do you know of an organisation that makes a valuable contribution to community life?  The Powys Volunteer of the Year Awards is an opportunity to recognise the value of volunteering in Powys.  The awards are held annually and culminate in a special ceremony to celebrate those nominated.

Nominations are welcomed for:

  • Individuals of any age
  • Groups - two or more volunteers in a group that carry out a task, activity or project. The group can either be a) volunteers or b) a group of volunteers within an organisation with paid staff. For organisations with paid staff, the nomination must be for the group of volunteers not the organisation.

What you need to do:

  • Read the award competition rules
  • Get the permission of the individual or group you want to nominate
  • Complete the nomination form giving as much information as possible, explaining all the volunteering activities.
