Wave 3 of Baromedr Cymru is live.

Baromedr Cymru is the bilingual quarterly survey for the voluntary sector in Wales, delivered by WCVA and the VCSE Data and Insights Observatory at Nottingham Trent University.

In Focus: Voluntary sector relationships with government

The Wave 3 survey is live between 29 April – 20 May and focuses on your organisation’s relationship with different levels of government and the future outlook for the sector.

The 2026 Senedd election brings historic changes – an expanded Senedd, new electoral system and more new faces and parties than we have ever seen. The relationships between voluntary organisations and all levels of government play a significant role in service delivery.

This wave establishes a baseline to track over time whether voluntary organisations feel that different levels of government are behaving in ways that reflect the principles of the new Civil Society Covenant.

In Wales, its principles of recognition and value, partnership and collaboration, participation and inclusion, and transparency and data compliment the long-established Third Sector Scheme.
